The Corvette paced the Indianapolis 500 for the third time in 1998 festooned in purple paint, yellow wheels, multi-colored graphics and black and yellow leather seats in a black cockpit with black soft top. The engine consists of a 346/350 HP aluminum V-8, 4-speed automatic transaxle and custom color-keyed coil covers. All 1998 Corvettes are well equipped with power steering and brakes, power windows and locks, cruise control and air conditioning.
